Great Bradley Art Group
We are a group of people who enjoy painting for pleasure and who meet regularly in the lovely old Village Hall, Great Bradley.
If you have ever visited the Great Bradley Village Fete you may have seen some of our work exhibited in St Mary’s Church and will know that we have very individual styles and work in a variety of media from pastels to watercolour and acrylics.
Those individual styles and different skill levels – from absolute beginner to the more experienced artist – are admirably managed by our talented tutor and local artist Jan Couling** whose patience and knowledge puts everyone at ease even if you have not picked up a paint brush or pencil since your school days!
We meet on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm and terms run in blocks of 8 to 10 weeks. Fees are payable termly. New members are always welcome so if you want to know more or would like to sit in on a session then please contact Pat Spires on 01440 783269 or Anne Pigden on 01440 783175.
Please note that you don’t have to live in the village to join us.
**For more information on artist Jan Couling and to see examples of her work from sweeping landscapes to animal pictures or if you would like to commission a picture then visit her web site www.jan.couling.org
The pictures below were exhibited at the village fete in 2016 following a tradition begun by Brenda Brin and Joan Thewsey (see the Hall of Fame page)
