Commemoration of Centenary of the End of WWI
The Centenary of the end of World War I was commemorated with an exhibition in the village hall.
It was an interesting, informative and poigniant occasion ~ with many exhibits from the vilage and from family members who had served in the war.
Peter Smith created a beautiful and fitting memorial to the men from the village who served in the Great War: Each man had a poppy placed on a base of an English Oak from Suffolk.
